We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. The hospital includes a well-stocked pharmacy, in-house surgery suite, in-house x-ray capabilities, and a closely supervised hospitalization area. Therapeutic bathing and grooming is also available.
Young animals are generally seen for a series of visits corresponding to their vaccination schedule. This is an important time when, in addition to a thorough physical exam, we answer many important questions posed by our clients concerning their new pet. Any issues can be addressed and problems detected before they get out of hand. Topics such as house "training", nutrition, vaccination protocols, parasite control and interaction with other pets and family members are some of the common topics discussed during these visits.
In addition, we encourage cats to be tested for communicable diseases such as Feline Leukemia Virus and Feline AIDS Virus.
Permanent pet identification (Microchip) and neutering/spaying are often discussed and highly recommended in both dogs and cats. Mature animals are thoroughly examined at least once every twelve months, often during vaccination updates. At that time individualized recommendations can be made to maintain the best health possible for your pet.
